While I cherish my neutrals: black, white, grey, creme, brown, and any other word for a neutral-y color you can think of, I bought wayy to many sweaters this year all in similar shades of grey, and black. And I lived in them all winter wishing I'd bought more colorful items as accents. whoops.

Now spring is almost here, and I couldn't be more excited. However all of my wardrobe is last years purchases where I went on a floral binge. Either huge bright florals or dainty tiny flowers dominate my spring wardrobe.

I like these pieces mostly because they are neither of the aforementioned. What clothing binges have you gone on?

Probably the things I want most are:
a) the michael kors watch. I've been wanting a big menswear watch for a long time and i LOVE that one...
b) the dr. martens white boots. the perfect boots for walking around in the rain. I love the white color. Kind of unexpected. One of my favorite bloggers cocorosa wore them perfectly here.

Also, MOST EXCITING NEW IN A LONG LONG TIME: H&M might be coming to Portland!
I've been hearing the rumor for a while now, but an article from a pretty legitimate source popped up. I'll wait until the company publishes the news to plan for what I'll do on it's grand opening...

while some people might not like this trend, I kind of love it. the fabric would take serious skill to style it for spring, but in fall/winter it looks so right. It is heavy, luxurious and warm: perfect for cold days.

This item doesn't look so warm, but I REALLY want a velvet dress to wear.
