No doubt other bloggers have posted this, but i found it, and i love it.

Also, I was at my local Forever 21, and saw these miu miu lookalikes. Naturally, I had to have them and they are sitting very happily in my closet. A bit of a challenge to walk in, but totally worth it.

Jeffrey Campbell makes look-a-likes

You're decision. I think the finsk wedges are less aggressive, and I love the pony hair, and plasticy looking part on the wedge with the wood rather then jeffrey campbell's covered suede.

Would I wear them? probably not. However I still think they are gorgeous shoes. If you want to see a girl who can wear them, and other architectural scandinavian garb, check out vanilla scented

Crushed

My grandmother brought this crushed velvet cardigan (hideous?) as a gift and my sister an I couldn't turn her away, and have always been fascinated by how strange the garment is. I harnessed the oddity pairing it with neutral building blocks.

Season after season, Kate and Laura Mulleavy produce collections for their brand Rodarte with models strutting down the runway in exquisite pieces of clothing. One thing in particular that catches my eye year after year is the incredible shoes that they put on their models.

Definitely my new dream to one day add a pair of Rodarte shoes to my collection. I have begun to accumulate quite a few pairs of heels, and always look for opportunities and events to wear them. I only wish I could afford shoes as beautiful as all the Rodarte pairs...

At Nordstroms over the weekend and look at these shoes I found on the sale rack! Jeffrey Campbell multicolored sandals. HUGE platform, chunky heel and so fabulously 70s. Love them!

THIGH HIGH

One of the most prevalent trends this fall was the thigh high boots. Designers sent models down runways with boots rising above the knee.

Unfortunately, this isn't the most wearable trend for a highschooler which is disappointing because the best contender for a thigh high boot that I've found are absolutely stunning. Check out these kicks:


I love how soft the leather looks, and the contrast of the studs just where the boot would pass the knee . Highly unlikely that these will appear in my wardrobe. They are by the brand Candela, a New York City based brand available at a number of stores.

possible? SHOE LUST.

Ever since I saw Jane Aldridge on her blog the Sea of Shoes wear these Balenciaga boots from their Fall 06 collection, I became infatuated with them.

I love the nearly-there pump although it's definitely not a wedge. The suede and matte leather is genius, and the harness turns them into an updated riding boot.

And I've also seen Mary-Kate Olsen has also been seen sporting these lovely boots:


How is this major shoe lust turning possible? Sam Edelman is making their "Zoe" boot which looks curiously similar to the Balenciaga boots I would love to own.

Probably the largest difference between the Balenciaga boots and the Sam Edelman ones, is the price. [of course]. A pair of these Balenciagas is a very lucky find and retail for well over $1,000. In a budget friendly contrast the Sam Edelman boots are available for a mere $345. While I do find myself missing many elements of the Balenciaga originals such as the harsh square platform and the more separated heel. I am also not crazy of the quilted harness or the double strap the Sam Edelman boots showcase, these boots are probably the closest I will ever be able to get. Now all that is left to do is convincing my mother that they are absolutely essential to my fall wardrobe.

Oh and more news! This thursday I will be jetting away to the Big Apple [NYC!] and driving to a lake in upstate New York with family. I may get to spend a few days in the city at the end of my trip, although the Hamptons is another possibility. Anyway you won't here from me until the beginning of September when piles of homework and a rigorous ballet schedule may prevent me from posting but I'll try my best to not let that happen. :)
