Warm, but still overcast.

The weather in the northwest is slowly progressing. And I am improving on my abilities to procrastinate studying for finals. What I want to be wearing:

I still go to high school dances for the purpose of wearing Rodarte x Target

I wore my Rodarte x Target dress to my school's "Winter Formal."

I'll take any excuse I can get to dress up and wear shoes that make my mother fear for the safety of my ankles.

Crushed

My grandmother brought this crushed velvet cardigan (hideous?) as a gift and my sister an I couldn't turn her away, and have always been fascinated by how strange the garment is. I harnessed the oddity pairing it with neutral building blocks.







The pictures don't do the color of the shoes justice. They aren't as pink as they appear here, more nude colored.

When I bought this scarf, I saw it in the store and mentioned that I liked it and when I got home later I realized my mom had taken the liberty of purchasing it. I'll wear it a lot in the fall, but I decided to create a summer outfit to wear it with.

Fall Fashion Brings EXCITEMENT!

While out with a friend, we paid a visit to Urban Outfitters where I picked up a sweater for $9.99 which kind of made my day... Anyway I think its a perfect garment for fall and I'm so excited to wear it that I challenged myself to wear an outfit with a sweater in the midst of the summer heat.




I also brought out a pair of shoes my mom had given me from her closet some years ago.

Home again :)

My family just took an impromptu trip to Seattle after my sister missed her ride there. I had a wonderful time, although unfortunately I missed the opportunity to visit both a friend in the area, and the local H&M. I am rather bitter that a location has yet to appear in Oregon.
Tonight I went for dinner with my parents for my birthday, since it's tomorrow (!) but my father will be out of town. I now have an Urban Outfitters giftcard in my wallet that I can't wait to use to add to my fall wardrobe.

Presents for all Concerned

My mom just returned from a trip to Hong Kong, bearing gifts. An adorable little coach purse, and a skirt from H&M. I've always been bitter about the absence of an H&M where I live, so I have to make due with treasures from out of state trips.





I was dubious about the color, but I love the way it pops and how full it turns when I spin. Gives inspiration for a short petticoat underneath? You never know. I also adore the new purse, and its size is perfect for a cell phone wallet, the two essentials.

Relishing the SUN!

This afternoon, not many plans filled my calendar. Before I went out to meet a friend, I took a few pictures of my choices on a beautiful day like today.

I changed my shoes before I went out, the black felt a little bit harsh for today. And the purpose of my outing was a walk. Love the height, and comfortable for what they should feel like, but sometimes the feeling of your heels closer to the ground is preferable.

A public affair

Going to a cafe, dressing up my new t shirt with lots of jewelry and a pair of illegal [?] shoes.

Probably my favorite shoes I own. They are nine west, modeled after the Prada fall 2007 line. Loved that line... unfortunately my budget doesn't allow me to buy Prada shoes, so I'm stuck with the department store version. A girl can dream.



Gemstone bracelet, a gift from my sister from Forever 21, along with a homemade friendship bracelet.


Family heirloom, it was my great grandmothers, but now its mine. Love it :)




Hand-me-downs from mommy are my favorite. Vintage coach anyone? I like their old purses so much better the the monogrammed newer ones.

Can't wait to pick up more necklaces to adorn myself with.
