Some of my favorites from the Golden Globe Awards this year.
I am aware that Anna Dello Russo often makes clothing choices that resemble those of girls much younger then her, and that her looks are sometimes head to toe runway outfits. However, she still always looks wonderful to me. Her outfits are so completely over the top, and I love it. I wish I could see her on the street just to look around at the sea of people who she stands out from. She must get a lot of weird looks. I wish I could dress like that and not care about those looks.
Also: I tried to create an Alexander Wang - esque braid. Has anyone else / been successful?
I love the femininity of the dress, the drop dead gorgeous color, the draping, and the embellished waist. I almost didn't notice it but: her skull necklace.
I recently saw the movie The September Issue, a documentary about the largest September issue Vogue has ever produced, September 2007. You may remember it, Siena Miller was on the cover. It was a lovely film, I really enjoy it / highly recommend it.
Grace Coddington and Anna Wintour
Although I liked, watching Anna Wintour work behind the scenes, I loved watching Grace Coddington (the stylist for many of the vogue photo shoots) work.
She began her career in fashion as a model, but stopped after she was in an accident.
